Metabolic Chaos™: A New Way of Looking at Disease

Reed Davis, holistic health educator, walks us through the trials and tribulations of a true and honest health detective, revealing many discoveries he made while testing and treating over 10,000 patients. Reed’s unique approach actually represents a new paradigm as he blends standard medicine and the holistic approach.

As a clinical nutritionist, Reed was challenged with getting people better without diagnosing or treating any specific condition. Clinic policy (and State law) were clear. However, like many nutritional therapists Reed was only trained in allopathic nutrition, a take-this-for-that approach, which met with many dead ends and eventually many unsatisfied customers. For one thing, patients already had access to standard medicine to relieve symptoms with pills and had rejected that option. To many, nutritional supplements seemed a better choice than drugs, but this approach was sometimes ineffective or required too much trial and error to bring about significant results. Even if supplements lead to some improvements, most patients stopped taking their products after one to three months maximum, thinking that they should be better by then. Switching people from drugs to natural products also created ethical issues around interfering with doctors orders and, again, treating specific diseases or conditions without a license to do so. Reed grew just as dissatisfied as his patients with the lack of life-changing results and did not want to appear to be or feel like a supplement salesman. Reed’s first discovery was that standard nutritional therapy was just as ineffective as standard medicine at permanently resolving most health issues. There had to find a better way.

What Reed uncovered while working with thousands of patients are the critical body systems that are failing in today’s chronic stress-related health problems, how to test them, and principles of health building that truly out-perform specific treatments, whether those treatments are standard medicine or standard nutrition.

Reed’s investigational system, called Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® (FDN), identifies healing opportunities, hidden stressors and other contributors to Metabolic Chaos™. His drugless, natural approach to health building, called the DRESS for Health Success® program, is so successful, he had it trademarked for use by his Certified FDN Practitioners only. DRESS is an acronym for Diet, Rest, Exercise, Stress Reduction, and Supplements. Together, FDN and DRESS for Health Success® represent a new way of looking at disease.

FDN is a step-by-step system of identifying healing opportunities and underlying causes of disease. Along with the proven health building principles of the DRESS for Health Success® system, anyone with a health challenge should look into the possibilities. In his presentation, Metabolic Chaos™: A New Way of Looking at Disease, Reed will reveal how general principles can outperform specific treatments in 80% of all cases.

Reed Davis

Reed Davis is the Founder of the Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® (FDN) Certification Course. He is known as one of the most successful and experienced clinicians in the world, having provided functional lab assessments to over 10,000 patients for hormone, adrenal, digestive, immune and detoxification issues as well as infections, infestations, food sensitivities and chronic stress-related problems.

Reed served as a Health Director and Case Manager for over 15 years and now teaches a course in functional nutrition with over 2,000 practitioners in 50 countries. He is also a Clinical Advisor at BioHealth Laboratory where he helps doctors interpret lab test results and develop natural protocols to restore function instead of just treating the symptoms.

While serving for many years as the CNT and Case Manager, Reed Davis made his own observations about who got better and who did not. The patients who improved the most were those working as close to the underlying cause as possible, and not simply treating the symptoms. Wanting to help as many people as possible, Reed employed functional lab testing as it applies to nutrition and other natural protocols with thousands of patients.

Educating others became a passion and provided a mission that Reed carries out to this day. While systematizing the work, Reed came to the realization that he had discovered an emerging field. He named this growing body of work Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® and founded the certification course.
